The OilWatch map covers 440 verified seed oil free restaurants across 47 US cities. Every listing shows the oils each kitchen uses for frying, cooking, salads, and sauces, so you can decide what to order before you go.
Restaurants that cook with olive oil, beef tallow, avocado oil, butter, and other traditional fats — instead of industrial seed oils like soybean, canola, and corn oil — are community-sourced and reviewed before they appear here. Get the app for the full live, interactive map.
Every listing starts with a community submission naming the oils a restaurant uses, backed by a source — the restaurant's website or menu, a manager or staff confirmation, or a diner's firsthand observation. Submissions are reviewed before publishing, and a tier of restaurants carries the OilWatch Verified badge after direct confirmation. Because kitchens change suppliers, each listing shows when and how its information was sourced.
Restaurants are rated across five categories: fryer oil, cooking fats, salad oils, bread and wraps, and sauces. A "Seed Oil Free" rating means every category uses traditional fats; "Mostly Clean" means most do, with something to double-check before ordering. Each restaurant page breaks the categories down into Go Ahead, Check First, and Skip guidance so you know exactly what to ask for.
